Transafety DGSA Course Information
The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2007 requires carriers, fillers, packers, loaders and unloaders involved in the transport of dangerous goods consigned by road, to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) in accordance with the provisions of ADR 2019.
To qualify as a DGSA, you must take and pass three subject examinations (Core, Road and one Class paper). These examinations are “open book” exams and are managed by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). On successful completion, you will be awarded a Vocational Training Certificate which is valid for 5 years.
Transafety is currently offering a 5-day training course covering the Core, Road and All Classes examinations. Other DGSA courses can have up to 20 attendees. Our class sizes are restricted to 4 learners which ensures a high level of instruction and allows for individual attention from the course tutor. The DGSA course consists of a series of lectures combined with practical exercises. A high level of commitment is required of the student as the course is quite intensive. Lunch, refreshments and all consumables required for the course are included in the course fee. The course takes place at our well-equipped training facility at Carrington Business Park. Please contact paul@transafety.co.uk for an information pack. Full examination information and example questions can be found here
